Lifting Beams & Spreaders
Lifting Beam Lifting beams come in a variety of configurations for a variety of loads. A lifting beam's main purpose is to properly balance a large or bulky load and minimize lateral movement. Lifting beams come in two, three and four point beams with either fixed or adjustable hooks. The center bail can be adjustable to handle loads that have an off-center balance point. Highly specialized lifting beams are available: high capacity sling beams, glass pack beams, low-headroom beams and the two-hoist beam.

The two-hoist beam lifts heavy loads using two smaller hoist systems. The standard beam configuration has a central hook for the load and slots for two hoists of equal lifting capacity. A special configuration is available for two hoists of different lifting capacities by moving the central hook off-center to accommodate the different lifting capacities.

Spreader Beams
Spreader Lifting Beam Spreaders are essentially the same as lifting beams, except instead of a central bail, a chain from either end of the beam connects to a central alloy swivel overhead. This configuration is lighter than a low-headroom beam, but uses more space than a regular lifting beam. The main advantage of a spreader is the longer lengths of lifting chain increases stability and reduces end to end rocking. The spreaders are available with adjustable hooks for the load.
