Control Systems and Methods
Material-handling equipment equipped with manual, pneumatic or electrical controls. Sensors, detectors, indicators and switches can be integrated into a customized control network for specific applications.

Manual Controls

Pull Cord & Throttle Pendant Pull Cord
A pull cord is suited to operating the lift mechanism of a lightweight air-balance hoist. Pull cords are economical alternatives to a pendant throttle control.

Throttle Pendant
The throttle pendant allows easy single hand control of a load. The throttle control pendant has two buttons to raise and lower a load. The throttle controls the airflow that powers the hoist during the lifting process. The handgrip comes in a standard 'pendant' or the ergonomic 'hand-shake' style.

Pushbutton Pendants
Pushbutton Pendant Pendants can accommodate up to 18 pushbuttons for various functions. Key lockouts, signal lights, load indicators and an emergency stop button are available in most models. The pendants come in electric or pneumatic versions.

A slim pendant's contours are ergonomically designed for safe, one-hand operation. Feather-touch button control ease finger-joint stress. Slim pendants may have up to nine buttons.

Remote Control Options

Infrared Control Infrared Controls
Demag Infrared controls can replace stationary control panels for multi-function mobile control. The hand held transmitter has up to four rows of two-stage buttons, plus both an emergency stop and signal button. A single remote unit can control several material handling systems. The mechanism's range is approximately 40 metres.

Radio Control Radio Controls
Radio frequency control is an alternate to infrared. The control mechanism has a range of 91 metres. The RF control system maintains a constant communication link, ignoring most obstructions between the operator and the material handling system. The RF control system can control multiple material handling systems.
