Electrified Track:
The Power Behind the Hoist

Century Cranes & Services Ltd. includes quality electrical components to meet any electrification requirement whether it be motors, drives, tag-line festooning or power rails.

Electrified Track
Electrified Track Electrified track contains four internal copper busbars to conduct power along the entire length of the material handling system, including curves, track switches and turntables without the binding problems of tag-lines or festoons. Additional busbars may be included to carry commands from a control system. The collector trolleys used with this type of system have spring-loaded pairs of sliding contacts to maintain constant power. The busbars are designed to prevent accidental contact and to absorb thermal expansion from heat generated by the workspace or through usage.

Flat Power Supply Lines (Festoon/Tagline)
Festoon The most economical type of power supply is a highly flexible, cold resistant flat cable suspended from tag line sliders or cable trolleys. Known as a tagline or festoon system, it is a lightweight alternative to the electrified track and requires minimum maintenance. The plastic sheathed flat cable may be used within buildings with a dry or humid atmosphere or in the open. The flat cable is flexible in one place; temperature range from - 20° to + 70° Celsius.

DCL Busbar System Single-conductor power supply lines (DCL)
The DCL busbar system features four or seven pole line feeds. They can be used for both power and data transmission. This product was specifically designed to reduce installation time and save installation costs.
